Gold ducats of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic

After the Second World War, a currency reform was implemented on 1 November 1945 to solve the problem of too many currencies circulating in Czechoslovakia. In addition, this reform was coupled with the nationalisation of banks and enterprises under the Benes Decrees. After February 1948, there was further nationalisation of industry and another currency reform on 1 June 1953. Between 1945 and 1989, coins made of precious metals were issued only sporadically; gold ducats with the Charles IV motif were minted in gold in 1978-1982 to commemorate the 600th anniversary of the death of Charles IV. Silver coins were issued in denominations of 10 to 500Kčs for various anniversaries of important figures in our history or for significant events of the time.

Gold commemorative coins are sought after by collectors and investors alike. The high value that gold offers makes these coins an ideal choice for long-term investment. Historical gold coins are a guarantee of quality, authenticity and represent a stable value even in uncertain times.

Memorial Gold Coins commemorate key moments in the past and provide the opportunity to own a real piece of history. Choose gold commemorative coins from the collections of Austria-Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Czechoslovakia or USA to take you back in time.
