China Mint Gold Coins
Central Mint, known in English before 2004 as Central Mint of China (CMC), is a subsidiary of the Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan). The main business of the Mint is the minting and melting of circulation and commemorative coins and the production of commemorative medals and other types of casting products for government institutions and enterprises in Taiwan. CMC officially moved to Taiwan in May 1949 and the facility was established in Taipei. It then became a subordinate of the Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan). In 1976, the facility was relocated to Guishan District in Taoyuan County where it still operates today.
