2006–2010
In 1993, the Czech National Bank, as the central bank of the Czech Republic, began issuing commemorative silver coins with a face value of CZK 200. These silver coins are issued to commemorate important anniversaries and events connected with the history of our republic. These are usually various anniversaries of the births and deaths of our prominent personalities or important historical events in our history. Coins with a nominal value of CZK 200 weigh 13 g. Since 2011, the Emission Plan 2011-2015 newly appear coins with a nominal value of CZK 500 which weigh 25 g. Since this year, the purity ratio of 925/1000 silver and 75/1000 copper is also used. The coins are minted in two designs and with different mintage. The coins are struck in Proof, i.e. in top quality, and in Standard - regular, i.e. matt, and are supplied with a collector's card.
