Refinery

Refinery is a company - a production plant that deals with the purification (refining) of mined metal, but also the processing of metals from secondary purchases of mostly fractional quantities. The final product is pure metal or alloy in the required purity, which is used for further processing in the production of e.g. jewellery. For the mints, the refineries produce the semi-finished product for the production of coins, the so-called staples. Most refineries produce precious metal ingots under their own brand of investment in a wide range of weights and processing. The best known and largest refiners that meet the exacting standards are certified and listed on the LBMA Good Delivery
